Kaziranga National  Park

Kaziranga National Park is home to the one-horned rhinoceros and diverse wildlife. Know about its rich flora, fauna, safari zones, entry timings, and best time to visit.

Mary Curzon, the Viceroy's wife, who in 1904, found no rhinos in the area and urged her husband to create a protected reserve. This led to Kaziranga becoming a Reserve Forest in 1905, and later evolving into a Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park

This prompted the creation of the Kaziranga Reserve Forest on June 1, 1905, marking the first formal step in preserving the rhinos.
