ISRO Scientist Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates applying for the ISRO Scientist Recruitment 2025 must fulfill the following ISRO Scientist Eligibility Criteria 2025:

1. Educational Qualification: A B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant engineering disciplines with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks (averaged across all semesters) or a CGPA of 6.84 on a 10-point scale.
2. GATE Qualification: A valid GATE score in the corresponding engineering branch is mandatory.
3. Age Limit: The maximum age should not exceed 28 years as of 19 May 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, and other reserved categories as per Government of India guidelines.

ISRO Scientist Selection Process 2025

Meeting the educational qualifications alone does not guarantee eligibility for the ISRO Interview 2025. Shortlisting for the interview will be done in a 1:7 ratio based on GATE Scores, not on GATE marks or rank.

Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on several criteria totaling 100 marks: Technical (Academic) Knowledge (40), General Awareness related to their specialization (20), Presentation/Communication Skills (20), Comprehension (10), and Academic Achievements (10).

Candidates must score at least 60 marks in the interview (50 for PwBD candidates). The final merit list will be prepared by giving equal weightage (50%) to the written test and the interview scores.

ISRO Scientist Salary 2025

Candidates appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in ISRO will receive a minimum basic pay of Rs. 56,100, corresponding to Level 10 of the Pay Matrix. Along with this salary, they are entitled to various benefits, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance.
