RRB NTPC Selection Process 2025 includes CBT 1, CBT 2 and Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) or Typing Test based on the posts. CBT 1 is qualifying in nature whereas the marks of both CBT 2 and CBAT/Typing test are included in the preparation of final merit list.
- First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1): This test is common for all posts and includes objective type questions on General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam duration is 90 minutes, with a total of 100 questions. There is a negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer.
- Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2): Candidates shortlisted from CBT 1 will appear for CBT 2, which also comprises objective type questions. It consists of 120 questions of 120 marks.
- Typing Skill Test (TST) / Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT):Typing Skill Test (TST) is required for posts like Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) is applicable for posts such as Station Master and Traffic Assistant.
