RRB ALP Selection Process 2025 for CBT 1

To become an Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) through the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), candidates must navigate a structured and multi-tiered selection process. The journey begins with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Stage 1, which is qualifying in nature and acts as a screening test. Part B is trade-specific with 75 questions in 60 minutes and is qualifying in nature, requiring 35% to pass.

RRB ALP Medical Examination

The RRB ALP Medical Examination is one of the final and most important stages in the RRB ALP Selection Process 2025. Once candidates clear the Document Verification round, they must undergo a medical test to check their physical and medical fitness for the job of an Assistant Loco Pilot.

This test mainly focuses on vision standards, as good eyesight is essential for locomotive duties. Candidates must qualify under the A-1 medical category, which means having 6/6 vision in both eyes without glasses, normal colour vision, and no issues like night blindness. Apart from vision, the exam also checks for:

2. General physical fitness,
3. And absence of health problems that might affect safe train operations.

RRB ALP Selection Process 2025 Training

Candidates who successfully clear all stages of the RRB ALP Selection Process 2025, including the Computer-Based Tests (CBTs) and Document Verification, move ahead to the final stage, Training.

Those declared eligible after document verification are officially selected for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in Indian Railways. However, before taking up their duties, they are required to undergo mandatory training.
