RBI Assistant Selection Process 2025 includes three stages: Prelims, Mains and Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Final selection is based on performance in the Main Exam and the LPT, which assesses proficiency in the official language of the respective state or union territory.

1. Prelims exam: It is qualifying in nature and marks are not added in the final merit list. To qualify this stage only a minimum qualifying mark based on the candidates’ category is required.
2. Mains exam: This exam includes five sections: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Computer Knowledge and General Awareness. The Mains exam marks are considered in the final merit list.
3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT): It is conducted to assess the candidate’s ability of speaking, reading and writing a language of the zone for which he/she applied for. Candidates have to qualify all the three stages to qualify for the RBI Assistant position.
