The Chief Minister of Rajasthan is the head of the government and is appointed by the governor of state who is entitled for the position for the tenure of 5 years. The Current Chief Minister of Rajasthan is Bhajan Lal Sharma serving since 15 December 2023 from Bharatiya Janata Party. He represents the Sanganer Constituency. The State of Rajasthan was officially formed on 30 March 1949, through the integration of various princely states in the region known as Rajputana. First Chief Minister of Rajasthan
The First Chief Minister of Rajasthan was Heera Lal Shashtri from Indian National Congress with a tenure of 345 days. He was appointed General Secretary of the All India States Peoples Conference in 1947. In the same year he was elected to the Constituent Assembly. On 3 March 1952, following the First Legislative Assembly Election, Tika Ram Paliwal became the First Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

The Current Chief Minister of Rajasthan is Bhajan Lal Sharma serving since 15 December 2023 from Bharatiya Janata Party. He represents the Sanaganer constituency in the 16th Rajasthan Assembly. He has also served as the vice president of the BJP’s Rajasthan faction, from 2014 to 2016, and later as the General Secretary from 2016 to 2023.
